Very poor construction, anything that requires this much assembly should not cost as much as this. the only positive atrribute is that it folds, otherwise it is extremely unstable and noisy despite being assembled correctly. Its made primarily of plastic and cheap metal fastened together with weak screws and bolts that don't hold up to simple tightening. On top of all of this it was missing parts and good luck trying to get help from the seller because when we shipped them back their defective product they charged us a $260 return shipping fee and an $82 restocking fee. So now we have no elliptical at all and only got $140 back of a $549 item. The combination of Amazon's return policy, Proform's shoddy product, and Bayou Fitness's refusal to cover the return shipping cost of a defective item made for a horrible online purchasing experience.

This product is cheaply built and extremely noisy. I had to do some modifications so it wasn't so clanky. Was missing one small really unimportant part but when I called the manufacturer they said I had to mail them the receipt to prove that I actually owned the product, really? How many people call them to try to swindle them out of a one cent washer.
The positive is that it folds up and I use everyday so at the end it's actually doing it's job.
